Green Queen: Joanna Matson-Tandberg of Zveda Botanicals
One of the core missions Ladies of Paradise has had since the relaunch of our blog in 2017 was to uplift, empower, and spotlight women from the cannabis industry who are doing amazing and badass things! While that is all still true, we have evolved over the years to not focus on just cannabis but also on other topics such as wellness and sustainability.
Which is why we're so excited to introduce you to Joanna Matson-Tandberg of Zveda Botanicals and Canna-Veda. Joanna has dedicated her life to unraveling the mysteries of true health, discovering how plants and people have evolved together throughout time. On top of being an entrepreneur she is a yoga teacher and has found through her work that the ancient sciences of Ayurveda and yoga, enjoined with the sacred plant, can be a pathway from pain to healing. So let's meet Joanna and you can see just why we love her product and mission so much.
It changed my life by helping with Crohn's disease, cancer, and various other ailments, injuries and mental health issues.
What are you passionate about?
Teaching others how to heal and empowering them to take ownership and responsibility of their well-being. To educate the public about safe, effective, non-toxic forms of plant medicine!
What does authenticity mean to you?
Everything! It means speaking the truth, leading by example, and not being afraid to say "I don't know"; It also means transparency in product ingredients and effectiveness. At Zveda Botanicals we represent creativity, authenticity and a passion for truly effective healing - authenticity is key.
What makes you authentic?
I've struggled with health issues most of my life, and those of my kids and family. My experience navigating the medical system, finding "alternative" (natural) methods, thinking outside of the norm, and standing up for what I believe has been a long, painful, exhausting journey. What is the point of going through these traumas if not to teach, motivate, inspire and help others heal? We have to change the system in an audacious and effective manner and that is what keeps me authentic to myself.
What is your mission in life?
To help people help themselves. To try and make a difference for the future of humanity and our planet. To give my two amazing kids hope, resilience and grace.
*Special note from Joanna:
"I have direct personal experience healing with cannabis and other holistic forms of medicine, mainly Ayurveda and Yoga. My family and I have had an overwhelming amount of medical issues, traumas and illnesses. I speak from experience, I study history, and I am a constant student of life."
