Green Queen Keasha Brown of Ladies of Paradise
It's a rare occasion we highlight one of our own, but we couldn't be more thrilled to introduce you to the Queen herself, Keasha Brown. Keasha is beyond talented and a creative genius. Whether it's creating for the camera, curating the IGs, or setting the vibe Keasha puts her special sparkle on all things she touches.
Beyond Ladies of Paradise, Keasha is a badass artist who creates abstract pieces and my favorite, paints on her art onto jeans. Also known as the Lampshade Lady and the Queen of Thrifting, Keasha has an eye for turning "trash" into treasure. She restructures thrifted lampshade frames and creates a unique and even more stunning version. She is also known for her talent to 'manifest' pieces when thrifting. Which pairs well with her eye for interior design. -- So if you're looking for someone to design your home and you have a lower budget, reach out to this literal angel!
As previously mentioned, Keasha is a God sent when it comes to vibes! Her impeccable taste in music speaks for itself (check out her most recent Lady Jays playlist), but she also DJs... see why we're obsessed with her yet?
Keasha is a true icon with the truest, purest and sweetest heart! We are so lucky to have her on the Ladies of Paradise team and to be able to call her a friend. So lets dive into what this Green Queen thinks.
Cannabis is something I've been around my whole life but I honestly never imagined a career surrounding the beautiful plant, so i feel quite lucky! I'm happy to have grown up with family members who normalized cannabis for me at such a young age.
What are you passionate about?
Art, music, fashion, Interior Design...really anything I can be fully submerged in! I've been painting a lot lately and that's been a nice way to express myself.
What does authenticity mean to you?
I believe that the meaning of life is to be the most authentic version of yourself, not the watered down one that society wants you to be. To be truly authentic means you might make waves but that's your mission. Live and speak your truth baby!
What makes you authentic?
I always been able to express myself through my clothing choices or art but I've struggled with verbally speaking my truth out of fear of rejection. This is something I'm working on to feel fully authentic. The women in my family (like most women in history) have felt silenced so you could say I have some work to do on my throat chakra.
What is your mission in life?
My mission is love. At the end of the day that's all anyone really wants - To make, feel, be love. It may sound cheesy but its the damn truth!
