Green Queen with Beryl Solomon of Poplar
During these odd times, many of us are realizing how important human connection is and what daily pleasures we often took for granted. Even though the situation can be intense at times, today we want to focus on the positive and how beautiful and perfect of an opportunity this can be for us to realign with our highest selves [pun intended] and to connect with each other.
Social distancing doesn't have to mean emotional distancing!
Which is why we are so excited to talk with Beryl Solomon of Poplar at this time. Poplar is an online store that sells only the best CBD brands. As a New Yorker, Beryl is focused on what cannabis legalization will look like in New York and hopeful that Poplar will play a huge roll in the adult legalization of cannabis there.
If you had told me 5 years ago I would be working in cannabis I would have thought you were crazy. But here I am - and I love it. I feel like it is where I am meant to be. - Beryl Solomon of Poplar
P.S.: Poplar is a small women owned business and we love supporting those! So if you're looking for CBD right now, we plugged our favorite Poplar products at the bottom of this page!
It is a health and wellness tool that everyone should be able to use. Three years ago I went off my SSRI (prozac) by adding cannabis to my daily health and wellness routine. Cannabis also solved other issues I had long ignored (i.e.: IBS) and made me a more patient mom and more loving wife.
What are you passionate about?
So much - sometimes I worry there is too much. But it is what it is :) First and foremost my family - my two boys and my husband. And then my siblings, my parents, and my friends. I want the people in my world to be safe and happy. To me - that idea is intrinsically tied to access to cannabis!
What does authenticity mean to you?
Showing up if front of a crowd the same as you would if no one was watching.
What makes you authentic?
I am almost 40 years old - I may celebrate my 40th bday in quarantine - which is not how I envisioned it.... but I digress. At this point in my life, I am not super concerned about what others think of me. I have had several careers, experienced immense loss, incredible joy - life is just too short to worry too much about what others think.
What is your mission in life?
To make the world a better place than I found it.
Yeah, you can see why we love her too! Unapologetically her and owning it, Beryl is a role model and shows us the peacefulness that comes with living life to the fullest, not caring what others think and caring about those closest to you at the same time. Today, those fundamental traits mean more than anything.
